Happy New Year!!!
How do I start?? hehe, this is my last entry of 2004 practically. So much has happened in this year, I don't know where to start really. I'll try though. I definitely kept this blog going for 7 months! That's an accomplishment I say!
It's been a very good year for us Prodigy fans...The return of The Prodigy kicked off in the beginning of June, when we all had a taste of the first track "Girls" I was one of the people who was anxiousely waiting on the forums of nekozine.co.uk for a radio rip of it. And when it came, I was very excited. Liam Howlett was also right when he said "I want people to go, "fuck is this The Prodigy? I didn't expect that" he suceeded with Girls on that one.
Now Let's go back a few months prior. I continued going to movies with Billy boy and Guy during the months of March, April, and May. Lots of good memories going to see movies with Bill and Guy to Waconia. That AWESOME night when we went to see the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" It was FOGGY as hell! and I remember how Bill had to turn off his fog lights, cuz believe it or not it actually helped see the road a bit better. HAHA oh man that was so much fun. Reid was with us, and Guy. We drove like 10 or 15 miles per hour...I was taking pictures with Bill's digi, before and after the movie. Then later in the first week of May when "Van Helsing" came out...we saw it with Steve, and Trenton was with us...that movie was a riot. I could not stop laughing at the part where the "wookie" lookin monster on the ladder was burning up.
We had a good laugh with that one
Friday, May 28, 2004 - was a very fun fun fun day and evening. I brought my video camera to school and filmed the whole day..but a lot of people asked me "why did you bring your camera??" and I just got annoyed. I simply want to capture a day at school is that a crime? lol sometimes I bs'd my way thru the answer. "Oh its for a project for Mrs. Jacobs" haha. I have footage of Hiebert just kickin it in the class that was a great time. Footage of Mrs. Williams, then "Nelson" class. We read some good books in that English class. I still think it was the best English class I've had in the school. I just loved the books we read, and the class atmosphere, the teacher! Fun, how fun.
The hour before the day at school was over, during a break I saw Alex out in the hall and all the seniors of 2004 doing their "We are seniors chant" I briefly talked to Alex about the evening when we are going to see The Day After Tomorrow which I was greatly anticipating!
Guy came with us, Tom was with us, Bill..Brandon..Everyone!!!!! ahh, good day
It was the first day I actually kicked it with Alex Walsh my new made friend. Thanks bud.
June was when we continued hanging out. I've done a lot of stuff with these guys over the summer. Going to "H(O)(O)ters" at the Mall of America, sleeping over, bonfires, tubing at Tom's place.
I still remember that day when the guys, Tom and Axl took me out to eat at Hooters, I first thought u had to be 18 to go to that place hehe but it was a family restaurant. When we got back to Tom's, Alex wanted me to sleep over at his, so I agreed. Yet, we decided to stay over at Tom's.
It was the first time I slept over at someone's house here in Mound, I've done it before with my good ol' friends in Bloomington. This was a first though.
Later on over the summer we regularly would kick it, by going out to see every cool flick that would come out on a friday night. I always brought in my man Guy with me always! He's a great friend.
I hated that one day when Dodgeball was sold out and we had to sit all the way up front! It was so hard to see. But what a fun movie it was. It was an amazing summer for movies. At least I thought so! Some nice comedies, like Anchorman!!~
I eventually ran out of my money..but then Alex covered the next time we went. It was very nice of him to do so. I was having problems at the time. My family was having problems..all of us.
Oh, how about that day when we were going to see a movie at Eden Prairie Mall, but it was closed and on the way back we drove through Alex's old hometown in uptown Minneapolis...then I asked Bill to put up some good house shite and Alex would go crazy over the music and started dancing inside the car!! We later on the way to home drove by these girls in the car who kept flicking us off but Alex would say "no, no!" Heheh!
Later in the middle of August, I finally joined Cross Country. Two weeks prior before the 'actual' season began we were doing captain's practice and at the end of August the season started and a few days later we went to St. Cloud for a bonding trip..and I could not descibe, it brought me such memories of my early childhood back in Ukraine when we would do such trips often with my small school I was in. We all would stay in a room, a couple of guys and would always chill and have fun. It brought me memories like that, so I had a fun time while we were there for one day. I loved the time during cross country.
I got to go on a lot of meets against other competing teams and see how it works. I got to see many other kids from different schools. New places I haven't been in. We wont awards.
My most memorable meet was my very first one at a Montgomery "Red Bird" cometition when I had to run 3 miles and at the end I fell down right after the finish line...haha, I was very glad that I wasn't the LAST person It made me so proud to finish my first ever race and not be last, and that was also the first time I have seen Jennifer, but didn't talk to.
Over the period, I started improving with my running. I know I wasn't the best at it, but I was proud to improve by how many seconds it was..it was an accomplishment, even if it was small..it was BIG to me.
I've made new friends when I was in my CC team. I felt more comfortable around people, I started feeling a bit more alive than I used to be. I was participating in conversations, jokes, I even made people laugh. It was a personal, and great experience for a sentimental person likeme...hehe.
Sadly, my season had to be cut short...after the biggest high school cross country in the world (or so I heard, from Tom ;-) ) I got sick...and I would remain sick for the whole month of October and November..and that did not make me happy. I remember one day going to a practice after I felt a tny bit better, but was still sick..thinkin, and being very angry for not being able to participate. Some people probably thought it was an excuse, even at times I thought Humber himself though so...but they wouldn't understand that I was actually "SICK" I believe I had bronchitis, because my cough was pretty bad and lasted for almost 2 months.
Although, October 14, was a very fun meet we had..when I was the most alive I've ever been. I've made so many people laugh, I didn't know where it came from. But it made me feel very good! I flirted with girls, laughed, shared body heat..hahah!
October 19, was also a very fun fun meet at Shakopee, which Bill attended..and I was happy to see him there. Late after the meet we go to Moe's house and play some hardcore POOL, there I gave a foot massage to Tom..do you remember that baby? it was sexy. Billy gave me a two disc set of Gabriel & Dresden "BLOOM" album as my present, I was thankful =)
October 20, 2004..I turn 18. And have a very sweet day of my life when Alex takes me out to eat, by a surprise. Bill attended. I was very happy..the food was spicy!!! I couldnt taste the chicken itself! :-) Fun nevertheless. Thanks guys.
On October 22nd though, my mood kind of swings into a sad feeling. I find out we have sold the house and are moving to Virginia. There I tried desperately to stay in Mound with friends to finish school which was what I really wanted. But it didn't work out. So I had to move. It was pretty sad for me. Especially the last day of school...Mrs. Goehring and couple other friends from the class threw in a party for me. :-) I collected many senior pictures of as many people from my class as possible.
November 2nd, I also got to vote...I did vote for Kerry, I was proud to vote. I saw many of the seniors from my class wearing the "I voted" sticker, so I was proud as well..
This is becoming a very long speech..but I've had fun this year, and I certainly had the best year of my high school career. If I should call it that.
Thanks to friends for doing all this for me this summer. It kept me entertained. Thank you all..
I'm hoping to see everyone next year...2005...here's a toast to 2005. I will come back to Mound, I promise. One day it will happen...and we will kick the shit out of it!!! hooah
