nice performances by tom berenger and mimi rogers, as well as the actress playing berenger's wife.



it was decent. not a big watcher of westerns--so maybe that explains why I'm not praising it. I mean, it's the same feeling like I have with Apocalypse Now; It's not bad, but I wouldn't find myself rewatching it many times. Very impressive visuals though that part, I dug.

f'n WOW... i've heard about this movie dozens of times, but never really got around to watching it...so I decided to, and I just got done with it.

To give you an [i]IDEA[/i] of JUST how great this movie is...I paused the movie to go to the bathroom, and I looked at the time and I was 1 hour and 13 minutes into it...the movie devoured my attention. Performances are SICK, especially Pacino - and that classic Pacino speech at the end to Spacey's character...and the TWIST Ohhh man, I didn't expect it at all..

this movie deserves a 10/10

9/10 - wows, surprisingly great writing from Damon + Affleck, a movie with a message. Performances by Damon and Robin Williams rocked the show for me. I found myself teary-eyed toward the last few scenes. Contains drama but covers the depression by some humor that works in the end.

just overall well made, a definite closure to the saga, and a good one. Sylverster Stallone still has it in him, he's a great writer and a director. I liked this movie and with this it only excites me to see how the next Rambo will turn out.

a movie that will grip you and will make you feel for the main character until the end. emotional, heartbreaking, [i]real[/i]. everyone SEE THIS. Will Smith definitely deserves the Golden Globe nomination, and after seeing this movie - I [i]want[/i] him to win. As for the Oscars...there's no [u]doubt[/u] in my mind that he will be nominated and hopefully WILL win.

takes a while to build up, but after the one hour mark, the suspense is greatly intense.



long, drawn out, and sometimes boring. Not saying this is a bad movie, but it's not too interesting EITHER. Just a movie you watch once, and nevermore. And what the heck was up with the Pesci cameo? it was like 1 minute long. You blink and you miss type of scene. Pointless too, such a shame.

I liked this movie so much that I had to REWATCH it. Just amazing writing and acting.

my last movie of 2006

with 2007, and this could already be my new years resolution - it is to watch as many GREAT and NEW movies to me, NEW as in movies I have not seen; classics, 80's, 90's, award winning, and all that jazz. I will be now expanding my knowledge of film to prepare myself! woohoo, I will be a walking encyclopedia!

today is my first of what i hope to have, an ongoing, continuous series of daily film journals. I saw a thread on Joblo, in the general section "how many movies have you seen" and I had this idea from now on to keep track of how many movies, and what movies I see each day or whenever.

at the end of next year i will sum them all up in one huge list.

woke up at 12pm..and went down to nova, closed til jan 2. went to best buy, got home..and at around 2pm started watching.



a surprisngly good debut from Tommy Lee Jones, as a director. Interesting plot, and thoughtprovoking theme of loneliness/alienation.

then I went on to



first time for me, in FULL. I saw about an hour of it one time back in 2001 - but never finished. Today decided to get through it all.

This is not a bad film at all, but I don't see myself "rewatching" this anytime SOON, for sure. Very long and drawn out, I don't know what it was, maybe the tiredness, or maybe the film itself - but at times I just felt bored.

performances are great, very nice directing, and visuals. But not very interesting to watch on a regular basis.

one of the better ones, if not, in fact I think it's the best Justin Lin movie so far. Well written, directed, and acted. To the likes of Dazed & Confused/Go type.

not yet, but with 3 of my classes.

math 4 = ah..not sure about that one, it's a developmental

spd110 = speech class - did great on my speech, 95/100, and turned in my paper. great past two classes listening to speeches.

and finally art111, or whatever it's called, did my presentation today, and took the test which we aced (wink wink)

ahh, @12pm, hassan and I, were at class (but he came at like 11:10am, we chilled at my house for a few mins - then we went to campus, both took our tests til 2pm - i don't know how i did on my final for this one, even though i went over that shit. oh wells

i then see hassan around after 2pm mark and we go to my house - then we decide we want to go eat @ subway, which we went to and got our snax - then we stopped by to get the lusciously delicious ARIZONA green tea, which i love - we went to my house and we ate our subs while I played back some scenes from heat (1995), the first heist, and towards the middle where they're spying on deniro and his gang.

anyway, we go over like some chapters for the art class - and then we roll to campus, at 4pm I get there, and sit at my usual spot - by sexy cameron whom I love, and we have fun with for the past 2 classes, lmao/knai. so she's nervous, but when she goes up there, she had given an nice speech, very speedy though. jose was so nervous, he's a great frickin' dude though, man - has a wife, very humorous speech. good shiz.

well, hassan surprises me and when our class is over, he shows up at class and we chill for a lil' bit at class, talkin' to cameron, and saying goodbyes to various people in class. and you know, now as i'm sitting here - thinking...i miss those people already, and you know even though i barely knew any of them, just seeing their faces, working with MY group members, all throughout this semester - i will miss that, because that became part of the routine..and i get very attached to such things, I really do. It's nothing i have control over, because it is just the kind of person i am. and you know, i will get over it of course, but now that this is over, it'll be a little time for me before i can recollect my thoughts and progress. you know, i dont feel the same way for different classes, like the art class or the math class - (but really, just a bit for math) Speech class, and my english class were fun, but the most i will miss is the speech class.

I will actually miss a lot of things from this semester, like playing soccer outside campus on the field every wednesday at 3pm - and then going to my speech class all red in the face, and sweaty. and then waiting for my 7pm art class with hassan - you know, all those little things greatly amplify my state of mind right now - the thoughts that, everything is already gone, and next semester, there will be everything new. and i will get used to that. it's just like that...

i felt like i had to say this - and let it off my chest, because i feel this is the only place where i can truly reveal anything about me, or how i feel, and think. this may not be a big deal to some people, because they are preoccupied with things and they move on rather fast - but for me, it just takes some time - i mean, we are all different - we all think differently, and feel differently.

and now...i have to finish this up - and start writing that paper, before i waste anymore time.
